How do you say, "One of the most underrated acts in dance music history?" Answer: Deee-Lite. The mighty dance trio erupted out of New York City's underground party scene to take over the world with the release of debut single, "Groove is in the Heart." Released in August 1990, the song was a hit around the world. In America, the track peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of November 17, 1990. The #1 song in the country that week: Mariah Carey's "Love Takes Time."

For Deee-Lite, that blessing of a hit single allowed the follow fantastic debut album, World Clique (1990), with two more stellar full-length releases: the politically-charged and house-heavy Infinity Within (1991), and the loved-up feel-good summer classic, Dewdrops in the Garden (1994).

For music lovers not familiar with Deee-Lite's incredibly deep and rich catalog, This week's RHINO PRIDE Rewind features a selection of the band's music videos to help catch up. Opening with "Groove is the Heart," the six-video party offers up deep dance-floor vibe "Runaway," and morning-after comedown make-out anthem, "Picnic in the Summertime." Tune in and bliss out below.
