The early ‘90s was a wondrous time for music, and if you disagree, that’s fine, but please just accept the premise at least for the duration of this article, because if nothing else, it was an era which provided us with the opportunity to see Morrissey and David Bowie take the stage of the Inglewood Forum in Los Angeles together to croon a cover of T. Rex’s “Cosmic Dancer.”

The date was June 2, 1991, the performance was one for the ages, and now you can finally own an official copy of this duet: as of today, the Morrissey / Bowie version of “Cosmic Dancer” can be found on your favorite download and streaming platforms.

But that’s not all!

On February 19, 2021, you’ll be able to purchase the 7” double A-side single of “Cosmic Dancer” backed with Morrissey’s newly-recorded cover of The Jam’s “That’s Entertainment.” (Please note that this is indeed a new version of the song, as opposed to the version released by Morrissey way back in 1993.) The single features photos of Morrissey and Bowie on both the front and back cover, and like so many other photos adorning Morrissey singles, the shots were taken by his old friend Linder Sterling.

Go listen to “Cosmic Dancer,” then go pre-order the single. It’s gonna be awesome.
