Now Available: Jeff Beck, Live +

It's been out for awhile on CD and in digital format, but for you purists out there, the time is nigh for you to be able to purchase Jeff Beck's latest live album - cleverly entitled Live + - on vinyl.

Recorded at various venues during the course of 2014, Jeff Beck's Live + features 14 concert performances including tracks from throughout his career, including “Morning Dew” (Truth), “Superstition” (Beck, Bogert, Appice), and “Big Block” (Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop), along with covers ranging from “A Day in the Life” and “Little Wing” to “Danny Boy” and “A Change is Gonna Come.”

Oh, and just in case you didn't get the memo about why there's a plus sign in the title, here's the reason: the album also contains a pair of new studio tracks, “Tribal” and 'My Tiled White Floor,” which are the first new studio material from Beck since 2010's Emotion & Commotion. In his remarks about “Tribal” on SomethingElseReviews.com, critic Nick DeRiso called the track a “scroungy, all-edge update of the familiar Jeff Beck blues rocker (which) delivers in a big way,” and described the guitarist as “roaming around in the wide-open spaces of a furiously grinding power trio, skittering and then barking as Veronica Bellino and Rhonda Smith create this relentless pulse on drums and bass, respectively.”

Sold yet? You should be.
