Now Available: Alanis Morissette, Jagged Little Pill: 4-CD Collector’s Edition

We've done quite a few posts about Alanis Morissette over the years, so it seems like we might've already made this joke in the past, but what the heck, we're still going to offer it up:

Are you an Alanis fan? Then you oughta know that we've just released a four-disc collector's edition of Jagged Little Pill!

Huh. That seemed funnier in the pitch meeting. Oh, well, moving on…

Yes, Jagged Little Pill: Collector's Edition features remastered audio of the original album, a disc of 10 unreleased demos from the era which have been handpicked by Ms. Morissette herself, a heretofore-unreleased concert from 1995, and 2005's Jagged Little Pill Acoustic. Trust us, to get a package with more Pill than this, you'd need a prescription. (You'll also have to trust us that that joke seemed funnier in the pitch meeting, too.)

And if you feel like you don't need that high a dose and yet you feel like one Pill isn't quite enough, then you might consider opting for the new deluxe edition of the album, which includes the remastered original album and the demos.

Beyond choosing the demos for inclusion, Ms. Morissette also offered some photos from her personal collection along with some other memorabilia from that period, and she penned an essay about her experiences during the era while also providing the “secret origins,” if you will, of the demos. Plus, her old pal Glen Ballard - who produced and co-wrote the album with her - helped with the mixing and mastering of the set.

If you're a longtime Alanis fan, then this is probably an easy sell even without knowing everything that you'll get, but here's the full track listing, just so you're properly informed:
