First Listen: Brian Wilson, “Run James Run”

This Friday, Rhino will release PLAYBACK: THE BRIAN WILSON ANTHOLOGY, the most substantial anthology ever compiled of the beloved Beach Boy’s solo career, offering up 16 tracks culled from his studio and live recordings, along with an addition two previously-unreleased tracks. One of those songs, “Some Sweet Day,” was co-written with Andy Paley and rescued from a recording project in the early 1990s that was never completed, while the other track, “Run James Run,” was written and recorded specifically for this collection.
