Velvet Underground co-founder Lou Reed had solid commercial instincts honed as a staff songwriter for budget label Pickwick Records and those instincts came to the fore on 1970's LOADED. The Velvets' final studio album with Lou was a collection “loaded” with such potential hits as “Sweet Jane,” “Rock And Roll” and “Who Loves The Sun.” With top-notch production and Doug Yule's pop-friendly vocals on several songs, it's arguably the band's most accessible work, and was ranked by Rolling Stone among the 500 greatest albums of all time. Available exclusively at Rhino.com, the 9-LP LOADED (FULLY RE-LOADED EDITION) features stereo, mono and “Full-Length” mixes of the classic original along with a generous selection of demos, studio outtakes and live recordings (including numerous tracks available on vinyl for the first time) along with four 7-inches that reproduce the album's official singles.
